display adapters
Hi,
what do i do to ensure that the display will be ok if i remove my AGP video display adapter and replace it with a PCI video adapter?
Thanks.

Welcome to D-A-L.
All you should need are the drivers for the new adaptor card. When you first boot the machine after switching from the AGP card to the PCI card it will be in 640 X 480 mode. Install the drivers for the new card and all available Display Modes should be available to you.

Understand that most AGP cards are better than most PCI cards, as PCI is very old technology. Unless you have a very entry level AGP, plus a much better than average PCI, AGP is typically the better graphics solution.
