I've got some AVI video files I'm trying to convert and compress so I can put them on DVDs and play them on my home DVD player. Some people recommended DIVx converter, which did convert the files but gave me error messages about the sound. So that's my first issue.

The second... Even after convertin the files, they did not compress to something that would fit on my DVD... Any suggestions??
