I am trying to copy about 5 Gb of music files to a 16 gb USB memory stick. I have tried several times and on two sticks but each time I get about a quarter of the way through, the copied files on the stick, although titled correctly and with the identical file size, are corrupt or play bits of other files - any suggestions?

Your post has had quite a few views, but it seems no answers. Some of that might be from folks leery they may be helping someone conduct illegal filesharing of copyrighted materials. P2P filesharing of copyrighted songs, videos, and other published documents without proper compensation is, besides being illegal, is one of if not the primary source of malware out there.

So forgive me for being suspicious but in today's computing environment, security trumps all. This being your first post here gives us nothing to go on so I am going to assume these songs were all properly purchased, and the memory sticks you are trying to copy these songs on to are for your own personal entertainment.

That said, I don't have an answer either. What happens if you try to copy only 3 or 4 songs? Do they copy, then playback properly? If the sticks format and check out fine otherwise, then I would suspect the USB connection.
