Please Help Me Out! - Logs included
I am currently running Windows XP and have recently been having problems with home page redirects and the like. I emptied all temp internet directories, ran both Spybot & Adaware, rebooted the system, and reran both Spybot & Adaware. The problem continued and the home page is still resets itself to pahit.dll. So, I have run HiJack This and here is my log:

Also, I'm not sure if this can be answered here or not, but my Ebay Turbo Lister also stopped working around the same time, stating an error in the tl.exe from the kernel32.dll module. I do not know if this is related or not and I have tried to reinstall several times with no success. Please help me with these problems if possible - the spyware being the most pertinent. Thanks in advance.

Hiya,
You have a particularly tricky variant of the CWS browser hijacker. Hopefully we'll be able to get rid of it.
Close all browser windows, restart Hijack This and put a checkmark next to the following entries:

Then could you please download About:Buster Version 1.27 and unzip it to your desktop. Start it, hit Ok, Start, And Ok again to start the scan. It will generate a log. Post that log along with a new Hijack this log here.
If this doesnt work, boot into safe mode and try. How to boot into safe mode?
-
First of all, thank you for the help. At first, I ran both about: Buster and HiJack This once again, but as soon as I opened a browser window, I would receive a pop-up followed by a homepage redirect to a different res*.dll. So, I shutdown, boot into safe. Ran CWShreeder, Spybot, Adaware, HiJack This, and about: Buster once again. Spybot and Adaware, and about: Buster caught a couple of things. Now, everything appears to be fine and here are my new logs. Please let me know if I should delete anything else.

I've tried deleting that line in the HiJack This log several times, but everytime the program is ran that line always appears again and the log looks the exact same as it does above.
-
Download this file. Close all your Internet Browsers, unzip the file, double-click, click 'Yes' on the prompt
http://computercops.biz/modules.php?nam...ad&id=1986
That will take care of the persistant O18 entry that won't go away.

Nirvana,
The forum software has shortened the address you posted so it is not accessible. Try breaking it down a bit (e.g. leave some spaces in the address)
