    links from google get redirected

    Hi,
    Yesterday i had a problem with my computer, which showed a false windows security window etc. anyway I solved that, but now I have another problem.

    When i search something on google and click on a link i often get redirected to some random site, usually a search engine or a site that might be related to the one i was going to, or many times just a random video on youtube.

    Also I keep seeing the protection notice on windows on the bottom left saying that i need to set up automatic updates, but when i try to go on windowsupdate.microsoft.com (with firefox or internet explorer) it tells me there is a connection problem (even thought i'm connected to the internet).

    A Google search turned up;

    CompoFix should cure this. Ref;

    Other links indicating MalWare;
    Google

    If ComboFix doesn't work, I recommend you post a HijackThis log for review by our security experts. Follow the instructions here-> HiJackThis prerequisites. There are important measures outlined here
    which affect and "optimize" the outcome of your HJT log.

    Then post your log in a new thread in the Spyware, Adware, Viruses and HijackThis
    Logs
    Forum. (Not in this section please). http://www.d-a-l.com/help/spyware-ad...tructions.html

    Never run Combofix on your own.
    It's a very powerful tool and you need to know, what you're doing.

    Moving the topic to appropriate forum...
