    Autohidden taskbar keeps appearing

Precisely every 10 minutes, to the second, my taskbar, which is on auto-hide, appears briefly and disappears again. A small window also appears but is so brief that I can't read the message.
I have looked in the list of Scheduled Tasks and there is nothing there set for a 10 minute interval.
This problem has appeared only since I eliminated the System Tool virus. Any ideas please?
    I'm using Win 7, Google Chrome and IE 8.0. Acer 5738Z Pentium T4200 2.0GHz

In fact, I have discovered the following:

by slowing my computer down drastically using Cpukiller3, I was able to read the popup message.

It told me that Avira Antivir was not running. In fact, it was. So I uninstalled Avira and reinstalled it afresh.

The problem seems to have disappeared.

I can now scan with Avira and Malwarebytes and no problems are shown.

Should I be content with this?

If Avira and MBAM scans came up empty, you should be fine.
