wow i don't know what's going on! i installed sygate personal firewall and had that running, then i did switch user and tried to log on as someone else, but the screen just flashed and didn't log in! i found that problem in the help menu and followed the steps for fixing it, but it failed! so i was mad and i just uninstalled the stupid firewall completely. still, it won't let me do switch user and have more than one person logged in! and i don't know why! if a Hijack This log is needed, tell me ASAP! please!

did you reboot after uninstall?

try system restore?

i haven't ever had system resotre enabled, and i did indeed reboot, so any other ideas here?

what os are you using? 98/2000/xp ?

are you logged in as administrator? or ?

xp, and i'm not logged in as administrator, but i don't have anything i can't access

from : Start > Control Panel > User Accounts

you should be able to make adjustments,

or at least the administrator should be able to.

i've tried stuff in there, nothing helps, but i don't think you quite understand what i mean here. i log on as one person, then i do switch user. it then shows the welcome screen. now normally, under my name there, it would say "Logged On" but it doesn't say anything. so i click to log on as someone else, and the screen just flashes my username's background and goes back to the welcome screen. is there anything else anyone at all can tell me to help fix this crucial problem (and i say crucial because i have 5 people to share this computer with so i need to have switch user functionality).
