starting to get really peed off now!! HELP Please !!
Hi,
Hope you can help, which I know you will try your best as you have done previously.
I am constantly having my pages shut down for no reason, almost every page on the internet I try to view I get a red page with error message saying blocked and website not safe it gives options to ignore but if you do it takes you to a page to buy the product to get rid of problems..
Also I get pages hanging and just not working at all then after eventually letting me shut the page down it takes an age and scrolls slowly down the page.
I get script errors from my bigfish client and when starting games i get access violation messages.
I have run my spyware malware programs and have mcafee installed, after running scans it comes back clean no problems and my pc is fully protected, i run programs at least 3 times a week to check for errors and apart from tracking cookies i have nothing. I have alsoo checked add remove programs for unwanted items and can find nothing out of the ordinary.
please help I am at the end of my tether and am about to throw pc out of the window.
here is my hjt log

I have tried to download the GMER from all locations you suggested but my pc just keeps restarting stating a serious illness.
also im getting a message saying a duplicate name exists on the network when back at log in screen.
-
Can you get back to Windows at all?
-
Hi
yes sorry I can get on any site
-
Download program listed below on good computer and move it to bad computer, using USB flash drive.
Please download ComboFix from Here or Here to your Desktop.
**Note: In the event you already have Combofix, this is a new version that I need you to download. It is important that it is saved directly to your desktop**
- Please, never rename Combofix unless instructed.
- Close any open browsers.
- Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix.
- Very Important! Temporarily disable your anti-virus, script blocking and any anti-malware real-time protection before performing a scan. They can interfere with ComboFix or remove some of its embedded files which may cause "unpredictable results".
- Click on this link to see a list of programs that should be disabled. The list is not all inclusive. If yours is not listed and you don't know how to disable it, please ask.
NOTE1. If Combofix asks you to install Recovery Console, please allow it.
NOTE 2. If Combofix asks you to update the program, always do so.
- Close any open browsers.
- WARNING: Combofix will disconnect your machine from the Internet as soon as it starts
- Please do not attempt to re-connect your machine back to the Internet until Combofix has completely finished.
- If there is no internet connection after running Combofix, then restart your computer to restore back your connection.
- Double click on combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
- When finished, it will produce a report for you.
- Please post the "C:\ComboFix.txt" along with a new HijackThis log for further review.
**Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it's running. That may cause it to stall**
Make sure, you re-enable your security programs, when you're done with Combofix.
DO NOT make any other changes to your computer (like installing programs, using other cleaning tools, etc.), until it's officially declared clean!!!

hi,
dont want to sound like a dumb blonde but....
i downloaded the combo onto a usb pen, from my laptop, i installed it from the pen to my pc. it started straight away, i disabled my mcafee (exactly as stated in the link) but it kept coming up with message that my scan was still live!
it seem to run for a while then went to a black page with odd numerics including musical notes, upside down f etc. not sure if this is normal, i didnt get the combo.exe?
then after a while of nothing happening my pc restarted itself and nothing.
am i doing something wrong??
-
sorry just to mention when i go to c drive to look for combo fix the page that comes up looks like 'my computer' is this normal?
-
First of all, move combofix.exe from your USB flash drive to computer's Desktop as the instructions say.
This way, you can always find it.
However, since you're having trouble running it...
Search the computer for combofix.exe and delete it.
Go back to your laptop.
Download fresh copy of Combofix and rename combofix.exe to broni.exe.
Copy the file to your USB drive.
Now, below is another tool, which I want you to download on your laptop, move it to USB drive and run it on your desktop just before you run new copy of Combofix.
Please download and run the below tool named Rkill (courtesy of BleepingComputer.com) which may help allow other programs to run.
There are 4 different versions. If one of them won't run then download and try to run the other one.
Vista and Win7 users need to right click Rkill and choose Run as Administrator
You only need to get one of these to run, not all of them. You may get warnings from your antivirus about this tool, ignore them or shutdown your antivirus.
* Rkill.com
* Rkill.scr
* Rkill.pif
* Rkill.exe
* Double-click on the Rkill desktop icon to run the tool.
* If using Vista or Windows 7 right-click on it and choose Run As Administrator.
* A black DOS box will briefly flash and then disappear. This is normal and indicates the tool ran successfully.
* If not, delete the file, then download and use the one provided in Link 2.
* If it does not work, repeat the process and attempt to use one of the remaining links until the tool runs.
* Do not reboot until instructed.
* If the tool does not run from any of the links provided, please let me know.
Once you've gotten one of them to run then try to immediately run broni.exe
