[Inactive] Not able to do anything! Virus 3 pornsite icons on desktop!
First let me say I am the only user of this computer and I do not go on porn sites! I have not used this computer in months and I turn it on the other day to get a file I needed and there are three icons on my desktop that I didnt put there. nudetube.com,pornotube.com, youporn.com! I have tried everything I can think of to be able to get my computer scanned by my spyware and virus software but none of them will open. I have booted in safe mode and can't get them to boot there either. I have also tried the hijackthis on a thumb drive after renaming the file and it wont let me execute the file. I can not even access the internet. When I boot up I get the desktop recovery screen which I have tried all options there too. I dont know what else to do at this point. Any help would be much appreciated!!

Please download ComboFix from Here or Here to your Desktop.
**Note: In the event you already have Combofix, this is a new version that I need you to download. It is important that it is saved directly to your desktop**
[list=1][*]Please, never rename Combofix unless instructed.[*]Close any open browsers.[*]Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix.
- Very Important! Temporarily disable your anti-virus, script blocking and any anti-malware real-time protection before performing a scan. They can interfere with ComboFix or remove some of its embedded files which may cause "unpredictable results".
- Click on this link to see a list of programs that should be disabled. The list is not all inclusive. If yours is not listed and you don't know how to disable it, please ask.
NOTE. If Combofix asks you to install Recovery Console, please allow it.
- Close any open browsers.
- WARNING: Combofix will disconnect your machine from the Internet as soon as it starts
- Please do not attempt to re-connect your machine back to the Internet until Combofix has completely finished.
- If there is no internet connection after running Combofix, then restart your computer to restore back your connection.
- Double click on combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
- When finished, it will produce a report for you.
- Please post the "C:\ComboFix.txt" along with a new HijackThis log for further review.
**Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it's running. That may cause it to stall**
Make sure, you re-enable your security programs, when you're done with Combofix.
DO NOT make any other changes to your computer (like installing programs, using other cleaning tools, etc.), until it's officially declared clean!!!

I am sorry but I can't download anything to the infected computer. I am on my laptop talking to you, its my desktop that is infected. I have downloaded a rescue disk that allowed me to scan the computer for viruses. The name of the recovery disk is Avira which allowed me to at least scan unfortunatley thats all they allowed me to do with it. Now I am stuck at the window XP log in page and when I put the passcode in it trys to boot up my desktop only to have a message appear that says login off network connections and then back to the log in page. I cant seem to get past this.

So, you can't boot to Windows at all?
Even in Safe Mode?
-
No I couldnt boot windows at all. But I am in the middle of trying to get a repair done with my windows XP disk. Hopefully that will allow me to at least boot and get on the internet to save the Combofix file to my desktop. I am in the middle of that now. I will post you when I am able to boot. Thanks for you help!

While registering components I received an error message C:\WINDOWS\System32\inetcomm.dll the file may not have been installed or it has been corrupted. Only choice was to hit OK
After hitting OK I received another error message saying an error occurred loading C:\Program files\outlookExpress\msoe.dll The file may not have been installed or it has been corrupted. again only choice was OK
Shortly after that I received another one labled unregmp2.exe Entry point not found...the procedure entry point GetIUMS could not be located in the dynamic link library MSDART.DLL only choice hit OK a bunch of times and can not get off this screen to continue the repair on Windows XP...any suggestions?
