(beside that)
My computer's running quite fine. It's not getting this really slow moments it had before doing this. It used to get really slow when opening applications, relatively few resources consuming applications such as Microsoft Word, Power Point or even Firefox. But not anymore.
Overall, it's doing fine.

Pleeease, last thing. I need my internet back!
I still can't connect to the internet neither wired (through ethernet) nor wireless.
When i do an ipconfig at cmd.exe it only displays "Windows IP Configuration" but nothing else.
(that's why i said "beside that")

I think, eventually, you'll have to start new topic about your connection problem, at some more open section of this board, since here, in HJT forum, we just make sure, you computer is clean, but let's try couple of things.
Do you have any errors in Device Manager regarding network adapter?
Even, if not, try to reinstall network adapter driver.
I mean, uninstall current one, download fresh one and install it.
-
I'm doing that right now.
By the way, you put "reminder for myself" AV and Java. What's up with those? (by the way, I'd like to have the lightest AV possible, i've heard Panda's Cloud is quite good in security and at keeping itself light as a cloud, but I'd like to hear from you what do you think about it)
Java?
-
We'll get there, when your connection is back.
-
Excellent.
Indeed, Device Manager was the key. I had forgotten about device manager... I should've thought about it from the start.
Just telling, what I found in the device manager was a duplicate of my lan and wlan devices. Each device's duplicate had a yellow ! mark in its icon. What I did was uninstall them, and reinstall the drivers. It worked.
We should discuss about AV and Java.

Super
Please download JavaRa to your desktop and unzip it to its own folder
- Run JavaRa.exe (Vista users! Right click on JavaRa.exe, click Run As Administrator), pick the language of your choice and click Select. Then click Remove Older Versions.
- Accept any prompts.
- Open JavaRa.exe again and select Search For Updates.
- Select Update Using Sun Java's Website then click Search and click on the Open Webpage button. Download and install the latest Java Runtime Environment (JRE) version for your computer.
Note 1: UNCHECK any pre-checked toolbar and/or software offered with the Java update. The pre-checked toolbars/software are not part of the Java update.
Note 2: The Java Quick Starter (JQS.exe) adds a service to improve the initial startup time of Java applets and applications. If you don't want to run another extra service, go to Start > Control Panel > Java > Advanced > Miscellaneous and uncheck the box for Java Quick Starter. Click OK and restart your computer.

Download and install one of these>
- Avira free antivirus: Avira AntiVir Personal - FREE Antivirus
- Avast! free antivirus: Download FREE antivirus software - avast! Home Edition
- free Comodo Internet Security (firewall + AV): Firewall and AntiVirus Free Software Download from Comodo
NOTE. During installation, Comodo will also allow you to install AV only, or firewall only, if you prefer to combine one Comodo product with some other product.
If you decide to install Avast, or Avira, make sure, Windows firewall is turned on, or use Comodo firewall..
If you decide to install Comodo Internet Security, or just Comodo firewall, make sure, Windows firewall is turned off.
IMPORTANT! Make sure, you use only ONE antivirus, and ONE firewall.
You should be good to go

Sweet as, broni. Java's done.
Do you consider any of those the "lightest"?
Do you have any experience with Panda's Cloud antivirus?
-
They're rather light. I use them, I know, they work and I recommend them...
