[Active] Cant delete Ewido file
I'm trying to download the free version of AVG for an older machine. At first it said it couldn't download because it detected a bug in an older version of Roxio on the machine. I don't use it anyway, so I deleted that. Now that AVG is downloaded, it says it can't install because it detects a conflicting program - Ewido. Ewido isn't listed in my add/delete programs but there is a file in the Programs Files. The only thing in the file is a .dll shell. But it won't let me delete it. Any recommendations? I can't put the AVG on until it's gone.

Forget AVG. Your problem is one of the reasons I stopped recommending AVG.

NOTE. During installation, Comodo will also allow you to install AV only, or firewall only, if you prefer to combine one Comodo product with some other product.
If you decide to install Avast, or Avira, make sure, Windows firewall is turned on, or use PC Tools Firewall Plus, or Comodo firewall..
If you decide to install Comodo Internet Security, or just Comodo firewall, make sure, Windows firewall is turned off.
IMPORTANT! Make sure, you use only ONE antivirus, and ONE firewall.
