[Resolved] Fake Viruses and New Icon on Taskbar
Hi Dal people, thanks in advance. My girlfriend woke me up today and said we had a whole bunch of viruses. I checked it out and it was one of those pop ups on the task bar that said I had to buy their software orI could not get rid of the viruses.
Ive seen this before and I know I did not have any viruses. I restored the system to a day earlier and the pop up disappeared, but when I restarted the computer Norton 360 was acting funny saying I was not protected and that my emails were not being scanned. I checked for updates and now eevrything seems to be working on Norton 360. Here is my highjackthis log.

Thanks a lot Broni, I work at a sawmill and I dont know much about PC viruses and how to fix computer problems. This website has helped me a few times in the last few years and my problem always gets solved.
Obviously a lot of the senior people around here must work in computers or have a great understanding of how pc work, and I applaud D-A-L.com for the free advice and expertise they offer. Keep up the good work guys and gals!!
