    Malware Issue NginuL_na.exe

I've had my new laptop a few weeks now and had it connected to the internet pretty well since then. I just used it as I generally would and how I have used the desktop computer for years now (the only difference is the desktop is XP and my laptop is Vista). About a week ago I opened internet explorer and it continued to open hundreds of times, and launch new windows when I managed to close an existing one. I automatically ran a virus scan with McAfee which turned up nothing.

After that I used Malware Bytes to scan my computer and it found the item NginuL_na.exe. after the scan completed it said it would delete on reboot. After this was done everything seemed to return to normal. However a few days later the internet opening happened again. I preformed the scan again and found the same item. After the reboot I scanned again and it still found the same item. After a bit of searching on the internet I followed advice to run a scan in safe mode. It found nothing this time. After returning to normal mode I ran the scan again and it still found NginuL_na.exe.

I haven't had any internet autorunning since this scan, but it's still showing up which worries me. I read this could be some kind of read error, but I just want to make sure that there's no threat to my computer and if possible to remove the detection and anything if it is actually there.

    Thanks in advance

That does appear to be a read error with MBAM.

Is IE still opening mutiple times?

Please download and install the latest version of HijackThis v2.0.2:Delete the old version you have

CLICK HERE to download the HijackThis Installer:TrendSecure | Download TrendMicro HijackThis

    1. Save HJTInstall.exe to your desktop.
    2. Double-click on HJTInstall.exe to run the program.
    3. By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis.
    4. Accept the license agreement by clicking the "I Accept" button.
    5. Click on the "Do a system scan and save a log file" button. It will scan and then ask you to save the log.
    6. Click "Save log" to save the log file and then the log will open in Notepad.
    7. Click on "Edit -> Select All" then click on "Edit -> Copy" to copy the entire contents of the log.
    8. Come back here to this thread and paste the log in your next reply.
    9. Do NOT have HijackThis fix anything yet! Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.

IE isn't still opening on it's own, but it was fine after the first time I ran the malware scan. It started happening again a few days later for no reason. I just don't want it to still be there and do something more.

Here is what the HijackThis gave me:

Thanks for that, it's reassuring to know it's clean.

Unfortunately the link you put only takes me to the google home page.

I dont know if it's at all related, but the morning after I did the HijackThis log my computer wouldn't start properly. It said a recent hardware change or program addition (something similar anyway) may have caused this. It then did some kind of system restore. Everything seems fine now, but I have had to uninstall and reinstall my virus protection and windows defender, and the HijackThis program has been removed. I do think this was just a random error but again I'd like to make sure.

Thanks again for all your help

Save 20% on AVG Internet Security 2012 Suite!
What I did was "Google this" IE opens mutiple times on it's own and a plethora if information comes up for your reading pleasure.

Mcafee could of been the problem, read this:
