Hello there, it seems that I have a trojan, a friend just told me that I have sent a link through MSN and AIM asking people to look at a pic, and it is something that I had not done. I don't know much about how to clean my comp from trojans or viruses please help.This is my log from Hijackthis.

Please download and install the tool below but don't use it yet until you are in safe mode:


* Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from HERE or HERE

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.

* Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and zLaunch Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Full Scan", then click Scan.
* The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note)
* The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
* Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply along with a fresh HijackThis log.

Hi Neal, thank you so much for all the help you have given me. The links you gave me to download MSN Cleaner did not work, it said " Page Load Error" and " Address Not Found" I tried it in another computer and they did work. Still, I want to know why it didn't work on mine, any suggestions?

Maybe because of the infection you have obtained.

See if you can burn the program to a disk and run it on your computer from the other computers it worked on.

If this is what I think it is then you have a trojan that steals banking info, credit card info and passwords and if you do buisness online then you should notify those companies of the situation and to watch your accounts and you should change passwords after we kill this thing.

I found smss.exe in C:/Windows/system32/smss.exe, not in C:/Windows/...yet when I tried to find it by " browsing" it I wasn't there. Should I start crying now?
