I'm talking about this:
so, if you're talking about re-runing McAfee scan, please do so.Mcafee has done its automatic scan and it found Generic PUP.x I pressed the button to remove it, but mcaffe said it could only remove some of its components.
You still didn't answer my first question.
why Combofix was run from c:\tools-av\10456\10456.exe, not from the desktop?
this above sure why this ran from there not desktop?
Mcafee didn't do anything while i was running this scan. It was windows boxes that were saying something about this while it was being run?? something about other files having to shut down from memory.
but if u want me to run the mcafee scan again i will do.![]()
That's perfectly fine. I thought, it was McAfee.Mcafee didn't do anything while i was running this scan. It was windows boxes that were saying something about this while it was being run?? something about other files having to shut down from memory.
Yes, please, re-run McAfee, and see, if it'll complain about anything.
Just ran Mcafee and it found the following RemAdm-ProcLaunch171!
it was found in C:\Tools-AV\10456\10456.exe
Also just tried to remove this and mcafee couldn't completly remove this.

That's perfectly fine, 10456.exe is actually renamed Combofix. Number of AV programs will flag Combofix, but there is nothing to worry about, and....do NOT attempt to "fix" it with McAfee.
If not other issues are present....
