Nobody is using it now. I'm not really going on a trip so to speak, it's just a hassle for me to be where that computer is. My parents are divorced, 50-50 custody and the like. But I can get there tomorrow and finish up these scans and see where to go from there, it's not really a big deal.

Okay, sorry. I couldn't get back over here to fix this. I'm assuming someone did use the computer while I was gone, but probably only to print out a document or type a paper or something. If I need to I can rerun some scans, but I'd need to know which ones.

Okay. I removed Viewpoint, removed the items from HJT, and ran CCleaner. Everything went fine. I restarted, bootup was fine and quick. I was going to get that next log and I totally forgot and went to bed. Now today, when I bootup it says Windows failed to start properly and gives me the options of Safe Modes, Last Good Settings, and Normally. I tried regular bootup and it took about five minutes for the log in screen to even show up, after the loading screen went to black. I can't boot in safe mode, or maybe I can, I didn't have the patience to wait.

I got it to boot. It took forever though, at least 10 minutes. I'm scared to reboot because it might do this again.

Well, if it booted fine after you performed all prescribed steps, it means, we didn't break anything.

Make sure, you create new restore point right now, and post new HJT log.

CPU usage has been pretty normal, no spikes like it was as of recently. Earlier I had a spike, but it was because of something I was doing on the internet.

Your computer is clean

1. Download, and install CCleaner: CCleaner - Builds. Get "Slim" version.
Read CCleaner instruction here: CCleaner Manual.
Run CCleaner.

2. Turn off System Restore:

- Windows XP:
1. Click Start.
2. Right-click the My Computer icon, and then click Properties.
3. Click the System Restore tab.
4. Check "Turn off System Restore".
5. Click Apply.
6. When turning off System Restore, the existing restore points will be deleted. Click Yes to do this.
7. Click OK.
- Windows Vista:
1. Click Start.
2. Right-click the Computer icon, and then click Properties.
3. Click on System Protection under the Tasks column on the left side
4. Click on Continue on the "User Account Control" window that pops up
5. Under the System Protection tab, find Available Disks
6. Uncheck the box for any drive you wish to disable system restore on (in most cases, drive "C:")
7. When turning off System Restore, the existing restore points will be deleted. Click "Turn System Restore Off" on the popup window to do this.
8. Click OK

3. Restart computer.

4. Turn System Restore on.

5. Make sure, Windows Updates are current.

6. If any Trojan was listed among your infection(s), make sure, you change all of your on-line important passwords (bank account(s), secured web sites, etc.) immediately!

7. Download, and install WOT (Web OF Trust): Internet Security | WOT Web of Trust. It'll warn you (in most cases) about dangerous web sites.

8. Read How did I get infected?, With steps so it does not happen again!: How did I get infected?

9. Let me know, how your computer is doing.
