Having problems with computer speed. I attempted a clean up of antivirus programs, but could not get the Norton removal tool to work completely. It always got hung up on "processing MSI's by product code" Ran Ccleaner, Spybot, here is HJT log:

I see no remaining signs of Norton but I do see McAfee.

Was McAfee present when you attempted the cleanup? Also, was WINDOWS DEFENDER also running at the time? If you disconnect from the Internet, disable both of the above tools (and/or possibly temporarily uninstall McAfee), and try re-running the removal tool.




Let us see/review what is loaded on your PC:

• Run HijackThis and Click Main Menu
• Click Open the Misc Tools section button.
• Then click the Open Uninstall Manager… button.
• Click the Save list… button. Save uninstall_list to your desktop.
