    Re: hijackthis

ok i posted those logs the other day and today on the 18th I tried to start my puter and it said something about sk boot failed please insert system disk. What is that? I tried to start in safe mode and it wouldn't let me use the arrow keys to select safe boot. I turned off the computer and it loaded ok, a little slow but it was ok. While it was trying to load one of the times i just heard click......click......click.

it started fine after and no clicking so do you think its a random thing or something else going on?

Super antispyware did find a couple things but now your guess is as good as mine if you are still having problems.

well so far i haven't had any boot errors and everything seems to be processing ok, like the browsers open and run ok. They don't seem to hang and have errors when I launch them. Do you think it was just a one time incident? And if I have more problems can I post on this thread again? Also I read that if you defrag it will prolong the life of your disk drive, is that true? Thank you Very much for all your help, i really do appreciate it.

I got the disk error again, I don't know what they mean when they want me to put in the system disk... is there something online that has the system disk?

hi, since i got the disk error again I did another disk check. The first one didn't seem to find anything but the one i did today said this:

deleting corrupt file record segment 189225
deleting index entry A0019192 ink in index $I30 of file 18230
Windows replaced bad clusters in file 14432 of name \system~1\-RESTO~1\RP174\A0025362.exe

since i have done this windows are sticking and i get the error message when I click on a link on my desktop. I don't know if thats temp stuff but thought I'd post it. Thanks for any help.

well.. crap, my hard drive died. so I guess this thread is done? Thanks for helping me. I thought things were getting better and then all heck broke lose. I'm on a laptop right now. At the end I tried to get my puter in safe mode but it wouldn't let me use the arrow keys to select that and then when the count down finished it just kept restarting and going back to safe mode selection. Its in a constant state of restart. I turned it off and am going to see about getting a hard drive. Again, thanks for your help.
