    [RESOLVED] Internet problem, hijackthis log...

Hi, i have noticed that i have a problem. When i go on the internet and run a a search in google i find that when the page loads to show the search list it is indented to the right. I have also found that i am getting pop up ads, which take a while to load, which i have not had before. Being on the internet has also been slow. I ran spybot and came across some problems: smitfraud-c. I deleted these problems and found my computer running fine. But after awhile i got the problem again and did spybot again. This came up with smitfraud-c again and this time Fraud.Antivirus2008. Both of which are described as malware. I fixed the problem using spybot. I then ran a full system scan using avira. This came up with problems to fix so i deleted said problems e.g.smitfraud.zip. But in coming to this site i found that the google search thing still happens but ads havent popped u (yet). So here is my hijackthis log:

Hi, i thought i would say that i updated avira and it came back with a problem - a trojan. So i deleted it and now the problem with the google search has gone, my computer is still running abit slow though. Also i am still getting ads popping up. I thought i should do another hijackthis log, so here it is:

It is easy for us to miss your thread when you keep posting to it (0 replies is often key).

Please disable the ‘active protection’ components of the following application(s), as it/they may hinder the removal of some entries. Otherwise, certain cleaning attempts may be wrongly recognized and blocked as hijacking attempts or other potentially inappropriate behavior. You can re-enable such tools after your computer is clean.

    Disable Spybot S&D (Teatimer)
    1. Run Spybot-S&D in Advanced Mode.
    2. If it is not already set to do this Go to the Mode menu select "Advanced Mode"
    3. On the left hand side, Click on Tools
    4. Then click on the Resident Icon in the List
    5. Uncheck "Resident TeaTimer" and OK any prompts.
    6. Restart your computer.

When disabled, please download (recommend using Internet Explorer) ResetTeaTimer.bat
Double-click ResetTeaTimer.bat to remove all entries set by TeaTimer. This is done so it can be re-enabled without problems after cleaning.

We will be restarting into Safe Mode later on in the fix and you might not be able to access the Internet. Accordingly, it is probably a good idea to print out the following directions or copy them to a text file on your desktop using NOTEPAD. Read these instructions carefully and feel free to ask if you're unsure about anything.

You have duplicate antivirus tools running (Norton and Avira). That will create issues and incompatibility problems. Uninstall one of them and reboot.

SELECT HijackThis FIX ITEMS: Scan with HijackThis and place a check next to these items:

    O2 - BHO: searchersmart search enhancer - {9C92877A-D967-B269-2A3A-2E1573818D4B} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\hoqpvqjnnr.dll (file missing)

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [YMLATYOSION] C:\WINDOWS\System32\regsvr32.exe /s "C:\WINDOWS\system32\cgzfiztjzjvyh.dll"

Make sure that all browser windows and internet links are closed, even this one!
    CLICK ’FIX CHECKED’ with HijackThis.

    REBOOT.

    * Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from HERE or HERE

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
    • Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
    • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
    • Once the program has loaded, select "Full Scan", then click Scan.
    • The scan may take some time to finish, so please be patient.
    • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
    • Make sure that everything is checked , and click Remove Selected.
    • When disinfection is completed , a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart(See Extra Note).
    • A run log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs TAB in MBAM.
    • Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply along with a fresh HijackThis log.
    • Please post any current revised observations.

    Extra Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts, click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process, if asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.

I have done things backwards. Sorry, ive mucked up. I ran Malwarebytes earlier in the day. So the things you suggested in your instructions to remove from hijackthis were not present. i did have that SDHelper.dll pop up today
That is the nature of such a tool:

sdhelper.dll is a process belonging to SpyBot Search and Destroy which protects your computer against Internet-bound threats such as spyware and trojans which can be distributed through e-mail or attack directly to the computer allowing unauthorized access to your computer. This program is important for the stable and secure running of your computer and should not be terminated.
If you are getting a lot of such alerts then you really need to re-evaluate how your PC is allowed to surf the Internet.

    REALITY CHECK:
    • Who else uses your PC? What are the potential risks created by multiple (potentially loose cannon) users and why?
    • What about bad luck, simple mistakes, and bad browsing choices (SEE: Protection from Adware, Spam, Viruses, Online Scams | McAfee SiteAdvisor and their BLOG)?
    • SEE: The Dangers of Popularity (for Popular SEARCH TERMS):
McAfee SiteAdvisor Blog: The Dangers of Popularity
The correlation of search term popularity and search term riskiness illustrates how malicious activity tends to follow and exploit consumer behavior. Users demand "free," and bad actors flock to fill corresponding search results with their deceptive offerings. All too often, users don't realize the detrimental consequences of these sites until their systems crash from spyware or their inboxes become choked with spam.

ABOVE ALL, it is most imperative that users exercise "safe surfing" habits such as banning or at least verifying email attachments (with scanning tools) before opening, and by not executing programs unless obtained from a trusted (or researched) source, etc.

In general, always research any unfamiliar links or products that you might want to access or download. In particular, the SiteAdvisor site and other REPUTABLE research-based link sources such as ‘LinkScanner PRO’ ( http://linkscanner.explabs.com/ - my current PAID favorite) have continued to make a significant difference to my clients’ PC health due to better-informed browsing habits and choices. I currently run both at the same time for search engine link assessment purposes.

Peer-to-Peer and FREE download sites add a level of risk that many should seriously take into account and adjust their behavior accordingly (significant sources of drive-by-downloads, script based infections, and annoying POPUPs).

Additionally, TEMPORARY files are both a significant source of clutter and potential hiding places for MALWARE content. Clean out those areas periodically - at least weekly. You can use a tool like CCleaner (or ATF Cleaner).
