Update Problem, Google uncooperative
Hello all! My first post for a long time, several years infact. I even had to make a new username! :-(
Anyways, I recently had a virus on my computer and some program "Antivirus 2009" commandeered my computer making it absolutely impossible to use. After researching I found out how to uninstall the program and then sought out a antivirus program. I bought Kaspersky 2009 and put it on my computer.
The first update was great, but then anytime I wanted to update it again it said it would error. Kaspersky reports to me that it is outdated, but it wont complete the update.
I recieved several weeks later from my ISP (Windstream) that I did not recieve updates from them either, and they couldnt get me to recieve them, so they forced it through on their end. Im guessing this is all related?
-------------------
Also: I have had a problem with google and it may be related to my problem above. Anytime I want to look something up in google, my search results do not link to what they are advertising and I have to copy and paste the written out hyperlink listed below the description of the website in my search results link.
I hope that you guys can help me, D-A-L.com is usually my last resort. I try to research as much as I can before asking someone else :-)

If your ISP (Windstream) updates are potentially antivirus/malware related, then you might be best advised to uninstall Kaspersky or disable your ISPs tools for now (duplicate real-time security related functionality can create horrible issues) and then reboot.
Your "Antivirus 2009" may also have been incompletely resolved. Try the following scan:
* Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from HERE or HERE
Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
- Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
- If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
- Once the program has loaded, select "Full Scan", then click Scan.
- The scan may take some time to finish, so please be patient.
- When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
- Make sure that everything is checked , and click Remove Selected.
- When disinfection is completed , a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart(See Extra Note).
- A run log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs TAB in MBAM.
- Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply along with a HijackThis log.
- Please post any current revised observations.
Extra Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts, click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process, if asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.

Will do as soon as I get back home. However, any clue to why Kaspersky is not updating either?
