Hi all,

New to the site. I seem to be infected with a viruse from a bogus youtube videos that is using Facebook for distribution. You get a link to the video when you click on it it asks you to upgrade your video player and well, you know the rest.

Anybody else have this happen recently and know how to fix it. My computer is a paperweight right now.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

BTW one of the applications that keeps coming up is Virus Trigger (if I recall correctly).

NOTE: You may need to download the following tool to a USB flash drive/memory stick or other media from a different PC.


* Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from HERE or HERE

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.

• Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
• If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
• Once the program has loaded, select "Full Scan", then click Scan.
• The scan may take some time to finish, so please be patient.
• When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
• Make sure that everything is checked , and click Remove Selected.
• When disinfection is completed , a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart(See Extra Note).
• A run log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs TAB in MBAM.
• Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply along with a HijackThis log.
• Please post any current revised observations.

Extra Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts, click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process, if asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.

Here is the Hijack this log, but after I ran the Malwarebytes Antimalware utility, I am not sure I can find the log from the Malwarebytes utility but I will look.

On a side note, what is weird is that I can recieve email via outlook but cannot get anywhere on the internet.

Any help to get me up and running without a rebuild would be greatly appreciated.
