Okay, I went into the host file to block some sites from my kids and when I open it there is 100's of sites in there that I didn't put in there. Telling me something about spybot and destory ...anyways, when I go to delete them it will not let me. I then try to run Dr. Webb and the program will not run so, I think there is something that maybe corrupt. Here is my HiJacklog;

When you run SpyBot immunize function it adds 'host file' items (last item in list) - so most of those items will be OK.

I then try to run Dr. Webb and the program will not run

Some similar applications such as Teatimer may interfere with that program.

Please disable the ‘active protection’ components of the following application(s), as it/they may hinder the removal of some entries. Otherwise, certain cleaning attempts may be wrongly recognized and blocked as hijacking attempts or other potentially inappropriate behavior. You can re-enable such tools after your computer is clean.


Disable Spybot S&D (Teatimer)

1. Run Spybot-S&D in Advanced Mode.
2. If it is not already set to do this Go to the Mode menu select "Advanced Mode"
3. On the left hand side, Click on Tools
4. Then click on the Resident Icon in the List
5. Uncheck "Resident TeaTimer" and OK any prompts.
6. Restart your computer.

When disabled, please download ResetTeaTimer.bat
Double-click ResetTeaTimer.bat to remove all entries set by TeaTimer. This is done so it can be re-enabled without problems after cleaning.

I use notepad for the host file and now somehow I got these trojons or whatever they are. This probably is the reason why I can't delete and clear out the host file. Whenever I try it telling me "error can't make changes to it." Any thoughts? Thanks

No, I didn't update Java yet. I was trying to run Dr. Webb and that didn't work. I look by google and found a web site that said, "wordemailtoolbar.dll" was safe but, Dr. Webb says different. I will let you know more tomorrow when I work on the computer. Thanks bro

My question is, do you want everything in add/remove programs that say Jave uninstalled (Java data DB 10.3.1.4, Jave TM 6 update 3, Java TM 6 update 7, Java TM SE development kit 6 update 7) I did start in safe mode and now I have a fresh host file.
