A few weeks ago I downloaded some shareware software, from what looked to be a reputable site. As I was installing it, I got an alert from either AVG (7.5 pro) or vista. It must have been from AVG, but it was in a vista style alert, the screen greyed around the alert box.

It gave me the option to do something like quarantine it and reboot, but I couldnt reboot for some reason, i cant quite remember why, I was either downloaded a big file or something.

I canceled the installtion on the box with all the next boxes.

Anyway, my computer has been freezing a bit sometimes, and although I know Vista does like to do this, I was wondering if I got rid of it or not. AVG found nothing, and I scanned with Spybot, but nothing found.

I'm just slightly worried that something might still be in my computer.

Looks pretty good, but some minor cleanup in hijackthis:



I notice that you have Spybot's TeaTimer running. While this is normally a wonderful tool to protect against hijackers, it can also interfere with HijackThis fixes. So please disable TeaTimer by doing the following:

1. Run Spybot-S&D
2. Go to the Mode menu, and make sure "Advanced Mode" is selected
3. On the left hand side, choose Tools -> Resident
4. Uncheck "Resident TeaTimer" and OK any prompts

You can reenable TeaTimer once your system is clean.



Run hijackthis and click on "scan system only" button and put checks next to these:
