    CNN.com news alerts in mailbox.

I'm not sure if the CNN.com news alerts I keep receiving in my email address is a virus. I didn't apply for these and I can't find any way to unsubscribe from receiving them. I get about 6 a day and it's getting annoying now. Is there any way I can get rid of it please?

August 6, 2008 (Computerworld) More than a thousand hacked Web sites are serving up fake Flash Player software to users duped into clicking on links in mail that's part of a massive spam attack masquerading as CNN.com news notifications, security researchers said today.
One or more of those sites may have you on their mailing list:

Massive faux-CNN spam blitz uses legit sites to deliver fake Flash

Update: Fake CNN spam mutates as attacks continue

For now, it wouldn't hurt to run the following software inspection tool and update as advised:

Try the following if you are still having issues:

Uninstall 'flash player' (in Add/Remove Programs) and download directly from Adobe.

Thanks VopThis for taking the time to help me with this problem. I've just read the forum of my internet webmail provider and they know about this and are supposed to be sorting it out, but as you say it won't hurt to download the software inspection tool.
