As to spybot, I now have over 170,000 files that it goes through while scanning my system. About a month ago, there were only 138,000 or something. The names of these files I listed, and many more, flash across the bottom of the spybot window as it is scanning. When it is done scanning, it either reports having removed my 3B program (which I immediately restore), or asks me for permission to do so. The only item in the list in red is the 3B program.

Those things going across the bottom are what spybot is looking for as it scans. Each time it is updated more items will be added to be scanned for.

I don't know why spybot wants to remove your program, have to live with it or find another spyware scanner I guess.

PS Some of my other computer troubles include the disappearance of my EN/DE/PL/RO indicator on my start bar... and the reduction of the function of my task manager: When I open it, it shows me only running processes, and the only way to get it to close is to close the task mgr process.

Click on Kaspersky Online Scanner

You will be prompted to install an ActiveX component from Kaspersky, Click Yes.

• The program will launch and then begin downloading the latest definition files:
• Once the files have been downloaded click on NEXT
  
• Now click on Scan Settings
• In the scan settings make sure that the following are selected:
  • Scan using the following Anti-Virus database:
    - Extended (if available otherwise Standard)
  • Scan Options:
    - Scan Archives
    - Scan Mail Bases
• Click OK
• Now under select a target to scan:
  • Select My Computer
• This program will start and scan your system.
• The scan will take a while so be patient and let it run.
• Once the scan is complete it will display if your system has been infected.
  • Now click on the Save as Text button:
• Save the file to your desktop.

These are two differen Sokoban games. Sokoban is also called "Kistenschieber" in German, meaning "box-pusher" -- it is the "art" of pushing boxes into the desired position-- the little guy can push but not pull, so if you push the box into a corner, you cannot get it back out. I am still working on the "my computer is slow" site and on Kaspersky. (I do not have the option of clicking "NEXT" and choosing options on Kaspersky -- it is scanning my computer for the second time right now.

And now... this might turn me out a fool, once and for all, but I must ask: Sometimes I close a computer session (by shutting down) before I am finished reading everything in the open tabs on Internet Explorer. In this case I do one of two things: Either I close the window with the mouse, and tell it to open all these tabs at the next start of IE; or I close without choosing options, and then reconstruct the session later myself, using my History. (I open the history in the sidebar, expand the previous day (or week), and command the computer to open some of the links in a new tab.) But this does not work well for me: Often at some point while I am doing this, the entire list disappears out of my history!!! This never happened before I began to use CCleaner, by the way. Does one have to do with the other?

Sorry... I never should have owned a computer... but it is too late to take it away from me now!

It is a tool to be used to clean a machne and uninstalled unless you want to keep it as a on demand scanner or buy it, it will free up a little space if uninstalled.

I would try to run the syamntec uninstaller, you can look in add/remove program and it might tell you what version you have. There will be registry keys left over that can be deleted with the uninstaller.

Why have bitdefender updates if you don't have bitdefender.
