Wondering what baieueexe is??
Cheers guys, Dave.
-
Welcome,
I have no idea what baieue.exe is, apparently you don't either, neither does google or yahoo.
This is strange also [Windows hes Layers]
Go here BitDefender and run an online scan with BitDefender (you will need to use Internet Explorer for this scan). When the ActiveX Control has loaded, click on "Click here to scan" and grab a coffee.
When BitDefender completes the scan, select the "Detected Problems" tab. Click on "Click here to export scan". Save the file as an HTML to your Desktop. Then click on the saved file and allow it to open with your browser. Go to Edit - Select All then copy/paste that log back here. Post back and let us know what it found (post the log).
And post a new HJT log also..
-
Hi Neal and thanks for your time,
Here's the results, still getting 'O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Windows hes Layers] baieue.exe' and while BitDefender was scanning, my AVG Virus also found at least 8 Trojan horse generic # and asked me to heal them, which I did..

I just noticed two things:
1. You are useing an out of date hijackthis
2. You don't have any microsoft security updates, not even service pack1, so...
You need to do this immediately before we can procede, you need to at least get Servicepack 1a, link below for that, do not get service pack 2 on an infected machine.
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...1/default.mspx
New version of hijackthis:
Please download and install the latest version of HijackThis v2.0.2:Delete the old version you have
CLICK HERE to download the HijackThis Installer:http://www.trendsecure.com/portal/en...HJTInstall.exe
1. Save HJTInstall.exe to your desktop.
2. Double-click on HJTInstall.exe to run the program.
3. By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis.
4. Accept the license agreement by clicking the "I Accept" button.
5. Click on the "Do a system scan and save a log file" button. It will scan and then ask you to save the log.
6. Click "Save log" to save the log file and then the log will open in Notepad.
7. Click on "Edit -> Select All" then click on "Edit -> Copy" to copy the entire contents of the log.
8. Come back here to this thread and paste the log in your next reply.
9. Do NOT have HijackThis fix anything yet! Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.

Please turn off zonealarm spyblocker or uninstall it, not much punkin that one.
AVG Anti-Spyware (formerly ewido)
Launch AVG Anti-Spyware and in the main window click "Realtime protection" (in green indicating "Active") to change to inactive.
The above may interfer with hijackthis fixes
Go here to learn how to show hidden files/folders:
http://www.xtra.co.nz/help/0,,4155-1916458,00.html#5
Re-hide after we are done
Now reboot into safe mode( without networking support) by tapping your F8 key upon restart and safe mode screen appears, select safe mode and press enter.
Run hijackthis and click on "scan system only" button and put checks next to these:
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Windows hes Layers] baieue.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\RunServices: [Windows hes Layers] baieue.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Windows hes Layers] baieue.exe
Please close ALL browser windows (including this one).
Everything closed out but hijackthis and click on "fix checked"
Still in safe mode
Navigate to these files or folders using Windows Explorer (OR Start -> Search) and delete (if present):
DELETE FILES:
baieue.exe
Reboot your PC
Go to next site:
http://www.virustotal.com/en/indexf.html
On top you'll find 'Browse'
Click the browse button and browse to next file:
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\antiwpa.dll
Click open.
Then click the 'Send' button next to it.
This will scan the file. Please be patient.
Once scanned, copy and paste the results as well in your next reply.
If that one is to busy here is another option:
http://virusscan.jotti.org
And
http://www.kaspersky.com/scanforvirus.html
Please post file scan results and new hijackthis log, how are things behaving now?

Never, never have more then one firewall running at the same time that will slow down things and cause less security as they battle for control, please uninstall one or turn off windows firewall if you have that running.
Fix this with hijackthis:
O20 - Winlogon Notify: Antiwpa - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\antiwpa.dll
Nothing open but hijackthis and click fix checked.
Delete the file from safe mode like the others.
How are things now, after getting one firewall running and deleteing that file.
