    Sorry I missed these:

    Java(TM) 6 Update 2
    Java(TM) 6 Update 3

Old java updates can still be exploited, so should also be uninstalled.

How is your computer behaving now?

Thank you very much for your quick responses. I did what you said and I dont have these annoying internet exlorer pop ups at least. Although, the computer is still very very slow, it takes ages to respond. I run multiple scans with norton antivirus, superantispyware, spyboot search and destroy, and Ad aware-2007 but everything turns up clear. Any suggestions are welcome.

    Kindest regards

To clean your temp folder, recycle bin, etc..please download this free tool:

    CCleaner

Don't install any Toolbars, or other programs, should it ask you!Just uncheck the option of installing the Yahoo toolbar.
It will put a shortcut on your Desktop.

    Uncheck cookies

    Before first use:
    Select Options then Advanced.
UNCHECK "Only delete files in Windows Temp folder older than 48 hours"

Click on CCleaner to start it. Then click "Run Cleaner", just use the windows tab up front by default.

    Then Reboot (Exit)

Defragment your hard drive, that could help you speed things up also.

Let me know how that goes

still the same, no difference. Should i try to delete most of my unwanted documents in order to free some space?

also now when i try to open word documents it says ''Windows cannot find document. Make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again''

    thanx

I would uninstall/delete anything you don't need or use anymore.

Please download Deckard's System Scanner (DSS) to your desktop.
    • Close all applications and windows.
    • Double-click on dss.exe to run it, and follow the prompts.
    • When the scan is complete, a text file will open - Main.txt
    • Copy (Ctrl+A then Ctrl+C) and paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of Main.txt in your thread in the HijackThis Log Help Forum.
    • An additional text file, Extra.txt, will also be available (by default) in the following FOLDER, C:\Deckard\System Scanner.
    • Please go to that FOLDER and also copy the contents of Extra.txt to your post as well.

Note: some firewalls may warn that sigcheck.exe is trying to access the internet - please ensure that you allow sigcheck.exe permission to do so.

    What DSS will do:
    • Create a new System Restore point in Windows XP and Vista.
    • Clean your Temporary Files, Downloaded Program Files, and Internet Cache Files, and also empty the Recycle Bin on all drives.
    • Check some important areas of your system and produce a report for your analyst to review. DSS automatically runs HijackThis for you, but it will also install and place a shortcut to HijackThis on your desktop if you do not already have it installed.
    Post Logs:
    • DSS Scan Results: contents of 1) Main.txt and 2) Extra.txt

You might try some of these suggestions for speeding things up:

Memory is a cause of slow down

Total Physical Memory: 1014 MiB (1024 MiB recommended).

    Uninstall this:

    Enhancement Browser Tools Superiorads

    Delete folders in bold

    C:\Windows\Tasks\ErrorSweeper Scheduled Scan.job
    C:\Program Files\Trend Micro
    C:\Users\All Users\Avira
    C:\Program Files\Panda Security

Might consider uninstalling Adaware 2007 and see if that helps, Superanti-spyware is much better in my opinion.
