Hi, overte last couple of days ive been aving trouble with viruses and trojans on my partners laptop, I'm no computer whizz but i usually manage to work out and remove the problems this time i'm struggling. When i log into windows the screen looks as if it is running in safe mode (large icons and text) when internet explorer is opend i keep getting pop-ups in a new window and half a dozen tabs opening with an http error internet explorere cannot display the web pe but it does hae content my Avg has picked up a total of 33 parasites over a two day period n i have moved all of hem into th vault, i have also scanned with spyhunter wich leaned up cookies and registry errors when i boot up get a notification saying a file could ot be found, i have downloaded hijackthis and here is the log, any advice is greatly apeciated, thanks bobbi. :

Please help me as i type this message i have hundreds of dll. errors popping up in my task bar i'm really lost now without help.

You appear to running two (2) real-time (always on) antivirus tools at the same time (Norton and AVG). If so, that will create issues - one of those needs to be uninstalled.



SELECT HijackThis FIX ITEMS: Scan with HijackThis and place a check next to these items:

Make sure that all browser windows and internet links are closed, even this one!
CLICK ’FIX CHECKED’ with HijackThis.





Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop.

• Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
• Click the Scan for Vundo button.
• Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
• You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
• Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
• When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
• Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt.

Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove.
In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above instructions starting from "Click the Scan for Vundo button." when VundoFix appears at reboot.

Hi thanks for the reply but whilst i was waiting i did some googling and managed to get into the registry and remove the files you have posted above, i then scanned again with hijackthis and those files are no longer there, i also no longer have any pop ups and no errors on boot. also i did have two antivirus programmes installed norton which is pardon the french ****e and totally bypassed the viruses and trojans that AVG picked up within 30 seconds of scanning. I have now uninstalled norton and rescanned and everything seems to be clear. Once again thanks for the reply! Bobbi.
