i just found that virus on my computer using the online kaspersky scan. I'm really worried becuz when my anti-virus(norton online 2007) or any other software touchs that virus, my computer restarts. Plz help me asap.

The elite keylogger is my own download but i downloaded it from the elite website. Should it have viruses? And the other keylogger i haven't installed it myself. I have not even installed elite but i am going to, to monitor my other pc in my school.

The keylogger that i wanted to delete is successfully deleted from my anti-virus(norton)The elite i have deleted the setup. Now there should be no malware left. I'm doing another kaspersky scan. I'll give it to u when its finished. plz tell me if there are any other malware messing around

Elitekeylogger should have no virus but is considered spyware in the wrong hands.

look here is the whole story. I ran the kaspersky scan and I found 2 viruses. One of them was in the system restore. I installed that keylogger and then I uninstalled it but i didn't know that it was in the system restore, then someone from the malwareremoval.com told me that it was in the system restore. I read somewhere that when u get attacked by a malware, we should disable the system restore. When I disabled the system restore, all the backups were deleted. That made the keylogger in the system restore go away aswell. The other virus(keylogger)was in my pc. Norton detected that and deleted it successfully. That keylogger(the one norton deleted) was something like Spyware.DataDoctor.Keylogger. Then i downloaded elite and then i ran another kaspersky scan which told me that it had viruses aswell and it had 3 viruses. the person from malwareremoval.com told me that you have to deleted the elite setup to make your computer clean. I did that and I ran another kaspersky scan.

I notice that you have Spybot's TeaTimer running. While this is normally a wonderful tool to protect against hijackers, it can also interfere with HijackThis fixes. So please disable TeaTimer by doing the following:

1. Run Spybot-S&D
2. Go to the Mode menu, and make sure "Advanced Mode" is selected
3. On the left hand side, choose Tools -> Resident
4. Uncheck "Resident TeaTimer" and OK any prompts

You can reenable TeaTimer once your system is clean.
