Go here BitDefender and run an online scan with BitDefender (you will need to use Internet Explorer for this scan). When the ActiveX Control has loaded, click on "Click here to scan" and grab a coffee.

When BitDefender completes the scan, select the "Detected Problems" tab. Click on "Click here to export scan". Save the file as an HTML to your Desktop. There is no malware showing or being detected by BitDefender. What is the problem you are having?

I found what the problem was. I had downloaded a new copy Dr. Spyware, Saturday which had turned on its antivirus protection that I don't use to avoid conflict with the McAfee's anti-virus program. I remember a thread of yours that stated tdwo programs running an antivirus program could conflict. After I turned off the anti-virus program a message from SpyBot popped on the screen telling me a Global registry had been changed. I clicked on keep the change and the computer began to load quickly and all returned to normal.

So problem is solved. Thanks again for your advice.
