when i double click on the avenger icon it opens to a page which is totally different to what you explained in step 3 of your lat post.

i have to options when pasting the script that you quoted. they are:

scan for rootkits
automatically disable rootkits found

and then i have an execute button. do i just paste the 2 files into the input area and then click on execute?

there is no green light either. the page you describe seems to be totally different to what i have infront of me.
