Hi ! I need some help from you !

I ran into you by searching means to disinfect my computer of inudhya.

At first my antivirus software, BitDefender, couldn't work.
I tried to scan online, but Panda and Kaspersky where the only one who did work.
I searched the files they gave me in the report and deleted all that I could. But some still remain.
I downloaded HijackThis and meanwhile my antivirus software started to work.
But still, I don't think it will work fine.

Note Few weeks ago I got problems with Funny Scandal worm and I still can't see my hidden files, no matter what I do.

Welcome,

Please uninstall bearshare from add/remove program, it will go a long way in cleaning your PC. Reboot afterwards.

It appears you have two anti-virus programs running at the same time and is strongly advisable to uninstall one of those now as it will actually lower your security and slow down your PC.

Do you have a firewall? Other then Windows firewall? If you do not have a firewall, then your computer has been seriously compromised if you do online banking, credit card transactions etc. You should notify those companies immediately as personal information may of been stolen. From a clean PC you should change all passwords and not do any of the above mentioned activities.

It appears you have backdoor trojans on your PC that can log each keystroke you make on your PC, hence stealing info.

If you wish to continue, please do this:



Download SDFIX and save it to your Desktop.

Double click SDFix.exe and choose Install to extract it to its own folder on the Desktop. Please then reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following :

• Restart your computer
• After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
• Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu with options should appear;
• Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press "Enter".
• Choose your usual account.

• In Safe Mode, right click the SDFix.zip folder and choose Extract All,
• Open the extracted folder and double click RunThis.bat to start the script.
• Type Y to begin the script.
• It will remove the Trojan Services then make some repairs to the registry and prompt you to press any key to Reboot.
• Press any Key and it will restart the PC.
• Your system will take longer that normal to restart as the fixtool will be running and removing files.
• When the desktop loads the Fixtool will complete the removal and display Finished, then press any key to end the script and load your desktop icons.
• Finally open the SDFix folder on your desktop and copy and paste the contents of the results file Report.txt back onto the forum with a new HijackThis log

after I downloaded SDFix and gave run I think something went wrong because I couldn't follow all the steps you mentioned.

I rebooted but unfortunately the computer logs me in and then out very quickly so I can't get in and search anything...

I don't use the computer for financial activities (cards, banking etc.).

What can I do now ?
I can format partition C: where Win XP is installed, but I must not format the others, because I have information that I need and has no backup.

Thank you for telling me what I'm confronting with. It is a hard lesson to learn about PC protection and it's the second time I fight to save that comp. (Now I'm writing form another computer).

I managed to make BitDefender Antivirus Rescue CD work on that computer using Linux from CD (I made computer boot from CD).

The Antivirus is scanning files and disinfecting.
I will let you know how things work out.

(For now I don't have access to Internet from that computer and I changed every name and password.
I also downloaded a free firewall software and an antivirus compatible with it.
