after rebooting all is well, after 10 minutes or so any new aps opened will not start, grey dialog "x has encountered a problem and needs to close" appears, followed by "drwatson postmortem debugger has encountered a problem and needs to close." aps previously opened can still be used normally.

could this possibly be overheating issue? machine is only a few months old though.

I am not seeing any evidence of malware issues.


You more likely have possible overheating (failing fan, video card, or impeded airflow) or bad memory issues given any consistent recurring pattern.


If your PC is in cramped space or near a heat source your need to address that. Additionally, you may want to remove the case enclosure to see if that might improve matters.
