    CCleaner

    I just acquired a CCleaner program, recommended on your site. When analyzing my computer (XP win, 1.7 GHz) I find a large amount of items which the program proposes to delete.
    Can I be sure that deleting as proposed by the program will not impair in any way the performance of my computer?
    Please advise

    CCleaner is a very reliable tool. I run it at least weekly without hesitation.

    Temporary files are often the very place where malware can hide and accumulate. Junk accumulation also tends to slow down boot and scan tool times, etc.
