I use this computer to watch certain videos, gaming, and work as well. Any help will be very much appreciated. (You guys seem great at this, so here's me hoping I can get rescued by you guys too )
This site came recommended, and I'm hoping this isn't what turns out to be a unfixable problem, requiring reformatting of the computer.
The first and the bigger problem... At first the issue didn't seem that bad. I ran some scans, fixed all the problems they found, and was recommended "Unlocker" to get around this problem, which worked peachy in the beginning (a month ago now). It'd scan and find no processes on that should give me the "Access denied" or "write protected", and force allow me to either rename, move, or delete that file. I today though found a folder where it doesn't work on. I can't turn off the read only on the folder, as I get access denied for every file inside that folder (files which doesn't have read only selected). It's becoming quite problematic, as I -need- to be able to move and create files there. The messages I get for this are:
"Unable to create file
Unable to create the file 'file name'
Access is denied."
"Error Moving File or Folder
Cannot move "file name": Access is denied.
Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use."
and for when I try unchecking the read only selection,
"Error Applying Attributes
An error occurred applying attributes to the file:
"File directory and name"
Access is denied."

Second problem is an older one and has this message pop up:

and causes explorer to close and restart.
I chalked this up being to codecs I've installed, as it usually occurs when I look in folders with many .avi files when I have view as thumbnail selected, though when list is selected, I never had a problem. The problem also occurs when I go to start, and click "Shut Down" (before the Standby, shutdown, and restart options shows up), requiring me to have to wait until explorer restarts itself, to try shutting down the computer again.
