If your Norton is an older or out of date program, I would consider removeing it for a nice lean free anti-virus program and a free firewall.


I also strongly urge you to uninstall BearShare from the add/remove program, rebooting afterwards, could possibly be part of the problem.




Open Hijackthis.

Click the "Open the Misc Tools" section Button.

Click the "Open Uninstall Manager" Button.

Click the "Save list..." Button.

Save it to your desktop. Copy and paste the contents into your reply.



1. Download this file - COMBOFIX
2. Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
3. When finished, it will produce a log for you. Post that log in your next reply

Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall.

I was browsing in my programs and found one called sonic and completely erradicated it, now the only mesage I get is the first one from norton
