You likely need to disable or uninstall any duplicate function security tools provided by AOL since you now have McAfee (or vice versa).



Let us see/review what is loaded on your PC:

• Run HijackThis and Click Open the Misc Tools section button.
• Then click the Open Uninstall Manager… button.
• Click the Save list… button. Save uninstall_list to your desktop.

I've searched my computer for anything that is linked to or related to AOL in every way. So there has got to be some hidden files somewhere. Any ideas how to find them??

I am not particularly familiar with AOL. That is why I asked for an uninstall list which you say has no entires related to AOL.


Meanwhile, there are several remaining AOL entires in your HiJackThis log.
