PC very slow; stuttered mouse movements

    Hi folks,

Sorry, it's me again. 2 days ago my PC suddenly went into snail-crawling mode. In fact first off it refused to boot. So I opened the case and checked all the IDE cables etc were seated properly and correctly. Then I was able to boot into WINDOWS (finally) but then it took forever to bring up the logon screen.

So I emptied all temp unwanted files, courtesy of a program (ATF-Cleaner) recommended on this site.

PC still very slow. In fact I kicked off the Ad-Aware SE scan last night (yes that's right, last night!) and woke up this morning to find it still scanning!

So now I have executed HijackThis in the hope that the professionals on this site will spot something in the log that explains this unwanted PC behaviour.

As always, your assistance greatly appreciated.

Save 20% on AVG Internet Security 2012 Suite!
A damaged mouse could potentially create such problems (especially wireless) by constantly trying to interrupt the system with false inputs.

Your best option may be to try a system restore point (if available) to a date before any known problems or before you started performing any recent fixes:

    Click on Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore.

Check Restore my computer to an earlier date> Click Next.

Choose the date before you performed any recent fixes and click Next and Next again.

    REBOOT.
