Suggest you consider doing the following:

• Disconnect yourself from any access to the Internet.
• Disable or end the running processes related to avast and comodo (temporarily uninstall if necessary).
• Also, disable any other running security tools.
• Try Norton Removal Tool again.
• Reinstate your AV, FW, and other security Tools.
• REBOOT.

Otherwise and possibly in addition,
Fix any remaining HijackThis items related to 'Symantec' entries still present. Also, locate and delete any related files still present on your PC.
