    Serious Virus\Adware

I believe I have picked up a virus or some adware while browsing the internet.

I've spent the last day and a half trying to solve it with all sorts of spyware\virus\adware removal programs and none have seemed to work.

I'd like to point out that HiJackThis! doesn't seem to want to work, I run it and itll immediately close.

    Killbox does the same thing.

If I search the phrase "hijackthis" on any search engine using Firefox moments later Firefox will close out.

If I do the same thing in IE itll redirect me to either an Ad site searching for the phrase I looked up, or to Ebay with the phrase as the search input.

If I'm just browsing normally I will frequently get pop ups that are in no way related to what I am doing.

Also when I am not even at my PC it will bring up pop ups.

I've exhausted my resources trying to rid my system of this intruder, any help anyone can provide will be so much appreciated.

Edit: I've tried a Spyware Terminator which came highly recommended for Spyware Removal, it found quite a few things the other programs didn't, yet still it couldnt delete the one file I believe to be responsible for all these problems, however all the other 12 files were deleted.

My default Malware protection program, Prevx 2.0, keeps finding more every time I restart, I don't know if its cleaning it up bit by bit or if more keeps getting created.

I really hope I find a solution or someone responds soon.

Only just after my last 2 restarts did a program called abynipkx.exe start showing up in my Task Manager, any thoughts on what this might be, a Google search of it brought up nothing.

Please go to hijackthis.exe and right click on it and then click on rename and rename it to foolyou.exe, press enter
and post a new log from the newly renamed hijackthis.exe. Sometimes malware hides from hijackthis.exe.

If that doesn't work then we will start taking stabs in the dark on what to do. It is hard to fix what I cannot see.

I managed to solve the problem, apparently my system was "Okaying" the Adware causing the problem.

After selecting them to be deleted and restarting to remove the ones that couldnt be removed while windows was running, everything worked fine.

    Thanks for responding though.
