What problems are you having?


You are running two anti-virus programs AVG Free and Mcafee many problems can and will happen from doing that, so suggest you uninstall one of them thru add/remove program. Two programs are not better but makes you more suseptable to infection.

On top you'll find 'Browse'
Click the browse button and browse to next file:


C:\WINDOWS\bat32.txt



Click open.
Then click the 'Send' button next to it.
This will scan the file. Please be patient.
Once scanned, copy and paste the results as well in your next reply.

Update Java:

* Go to Start > Control Panel double-click on the Software icon > add/remove programs.
* Search in the list for all previous installed versions of Java. (J2SE Runtime Environment.... )

It should have next icon next to it:
Select it and click Remove.
* The current version can be downloaded from Sun here: http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp Scroll down the page to 'Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6u1 and press the 'Download' button. On the new web page, click the 'Accept License Agreement' button. Then select 'Windows Offline Installation, Multi-language' in the Windows Platform area just below the Accept button.




Open Hijackthis.

Click the "Open the Misc Tools" section Button.

Click the "Open Uninstall Manager" Button.

Click the "Save list..." Button.

Save it to your desktop. Copy and paste the contents into your reply plus a new hijackthis log. Thanks.

thanks for your advice.. sorry for not being precise...i think i am experiencing 2 problems:-
1) whenever my computer startup, a notepad document will open saying stuffs.
(this notepad is by bat-32)

I found C:\WINDOWS\bat32.txt...and tried scanning usning this site http://www.virustotal.com/en/indexf.html. Result: no virus found for all
is it safe to delete this since it's useless???

2) each time i run a virus scan, there will be threats of virus found vbs/small. This document is located in the windows folder and cannot be removed as this might affect the computer operation.

Actions taken:i use this site http://www.virustotal.com/en/indexf.html but was not allowed to scan this file as it's too small.

Update Java:

* Go to Start > Control Panel double-click on the Software icon > add/remove programs.
* Search in the list for all previous installed versions of Java. (J2SE Runtime Environment.... )

It should have next icon next to it:
Select it and click Remove.
* The current version can be downloaded from Sun here: http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp Scroll down the page to 'Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6u1 and press the 'Download' button. On the new web page, click the 'Accept License Agreement' button. Then select 'Windows Offline Installation, Multi-language' in the Windows Platform area just below the Accept button.

Get file properties.
Please get the file properties for bat32.txt
so we can assess it.

Copy the text in the quote box below to Notepad.
Click File menu -> Save and name the file as findfile.bat
Change the Save as Type to All Files
Save this file on the desktop.

Go here BitDefender and run an online scan with BitDefender (you will need to use Internet Explorer for this scan). When the ActiveX Control has loaded, click on "Click here to scan" and grab a coffee.

When BitDefender completes the scan, select the "Detected Problems" tab. Click on "Click here to export scan". Save the file as an HTML to your Desktop. Then click on the saved file and allow it to open with your browser. Go to Edit - Select All then copy/paste that log back here. Post back and let us know what it found (post the log).
