Alg.exe

Alg.exe
Hello all, I have a extreamly annoying problem. Apparently, I have something malicious on my computer. My computer is running very slow and I'm having problems with my internet (like when I click on links the page doesn't load, it just acts like it's loading for about .05 of a second) and no programs can connect to the internet, or some programs won't even load up. It's very frustrating and it took me like 10 minutes just to get to post this.
I believe it's all because of this process called Alg.exe. I read about them and my system has the symptoms of the malicious alg.exe. Alg.exe is appearing in my task manager (processes) and it never has before, along with many svchost.exe processes, and one of them is taking 35,800k mem usuage, so I bet that is one of the major ones slowing down my computer. I've ran Registry Mechanic, and it hasn't fixed it, along with registery booster (1.4) and it hasn't fixed it.
Here is my hijackthis log:

If someone could help, it would be great, this is one of the most annoying problems I've ever had on my computer.

Read this please:
http://www.liutilities.com/products/...sslibrary/alg/
What does super antispyware program say about it?
Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune to desktop.
http://www.atribune.org/public-beta/ATF-Cleaner.exe
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
If you would like to keep your cookies don't check that item
* Under Main "Select Files to Delete" choose: Select All.
* Click the Empty Selected button.
* If you use Firefox browser click Firefox at the top and choose: Select All
* Click the Empty Selected button.
NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.
* If you use Opera browser click Opera at the top and choose: Select All
* Click the Empty Selected button.
NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.
Download Dr.Web CureIt to the desktop:
ftp://ftp.drweb.com/pub/drweb/cureit/drweb-cureit.exe
* Doubleclick the drweb-cureit.exe file and Allow to run the express scan
* This will scan the files currently running in memory and when something is found, click the yes button when it asks you if you want to cure it. This is only a short scan.
* Once the short scan has finished, mark the drives that you want to scan.
* Select all drives. A red dot shows which drives have been chosen.
* Click the green arrow at the right, and the scan will start.
* Click 'Yes to all' if it asks if you want to cure/move the file.
* When the scan has finished, look if you can click next icon next to the files found:
* If so, click it and then click the next icon right below and select Move incurable as you'll see in next image:

This will move it to the %userprofile%\DoctorWeb\quarantaine-folder if it can't be cured. (this in case if we need samples)
* After selecting, in the Dr.Web CureIt menu on top, click file and choose save report list
* Save the report to your desktop. The report will be called DrWeb.csv
* Close Dr.Web Cureit.
* Reboot your computer!! Because it could be possible that files in use will be moved/deleted during reboot.
* After reboot, post the contents of the log from Dr.Web you saved previously in your next reply. You can use Notepad to open the DrWeb.cvs report.

The first link that you gave me is one of the pages I read before posting this.
Super Antispyware found nothing.
My log from Dr. Webcureit:
--------------------------------------
A0129557.dll;C:\System Volume Information\_restore{A8C67F64-0050-45A8-A9B0-1486687232BA}\RP523;Adware.Crew;Deleted.;
--------------------------------------
I ran the ATF Cleaner.
My computer is still very slow and the alg.exe is still there, but my internet if fine now. As of now, there are 7 svchost.exe in my processes and last time I saw there was 9. They seem to just generate. I'm not sure what's wrong with my computer, but I'm pretty sure it's the alg.exe -- either there's a malicious form of it on my computer or the real one is damaged somehow.
Changes I've made:
I've installed and ran Speedupmypc and it didn't really do anything.
I've installed and currently have running Zone Alarm Internet Security Suit.

Having that many svchost.exe is not uncommom I have eight on my PC.
You need to be checking on ram, drive space etc.
1. Download this file - COMBOFIX
2. Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
3. When finished, it will produce a log for you. Post that log in your next reply
Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall.
Post a new hijackthis log also please.

UPDATE:
I've just ran some more cleaning programs, and guess what, alg.exe isn't in my task manager anymore, and it seems that my computer is running perfectly.
Is there anything in those logs that you see that seems wrong? If not, I believe my computer is fixed
Thanks for your help Neal

Yeah,
Let's do this next to make sure,
Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop.- Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
- Click the Scan for Vundo button.
- Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
- You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
- Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
- When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
- Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThis log.
Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove.
In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above instructions starting from "Click the Scan for Vundo button." when VundoFix appears at reboot.
Please go to hijackthis.exe and right click on it and then click on rename and rename it to foolyou.exe, press enter
and post a new log from the newly renamed hijackthis.exe. Sometimes malware hides from hijackthis.exe.
-
Darn, Alg.exe is back, but my computer seems to still be running fine.
Vundo found nothing.
Here is the Hijackthis logged renamed as foolyou.exe

Simply amazing, that is the reason you scan unknown files even if they look like a type of infection.
Run hijackthis and click on scan only button and put checks next to these:
If the two below were set by you don't fix them
R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = about:blank
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page = about:blank
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
R3 - URLSearchHook: Yahoo! Toolbar - {EF99BD32-C1FB-11D2-892F-0090271D4F88} - (no file)
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {C68AE9C0-0909-4DDC-B661-C1AFB9F5AE53} - (no file)
Nothing open but hijackthis and click on "fix checked"
If everything is ok I can give you some good tips and free tools to consider useing for safer surfeing
