    Cheers mate , I will rake out the XP disc and run the "scannow", IIRC my computer wasn't too fond of this disc when we tried to restart Windows from disc as the disc I have is approx 3 years old and it prompted about service pack 2.
    Will this be OK ????

    Hiya , I managed to get a Dr.Web scan done in a mind boggling 21 hours 15 mins.
    Here is the log , which actually saved itself as an Excel File.

    evd011.enc;C:\Program Files\ISS\BlackICE;VBS.Psyme.126;Deleted.;
    A0123490.dll;C:\System Volume Information\_restore{B37680B2-BA0A-4E5D-BF30-83E44C588624}\RP753;Dialer.Btweb;Incurable.Moved.;

    As you can see I had to move the Dialer.
    I haven't tried the other option with the Windows disc as yet , I will wait for a reply on this post first.
    I notice there is no Trojan on here , why is this ??
    Computer is still like "death warmed up" btw , slow :-)

    Regards

    I don't know what to tell you except try the file checker thing if that doesn't help I just don't see much hope for your computer.

    On the other hand i went back thru your old posts for the third time and you said you found these files:

    DF7A88.tmp
    DF49CB.tmp
    DF260C.tmp
    DFA618.tmp
    DFACA8.tmp
    Set6A.tmp < I see gets deleted on Vundo Trojan scans
    DF20ES.tmp
    DF259C.tmp
    DF519.tmp
    DFAC19.tmp

    ~NSU.tmp < this is a folder possibly related to smitfraud/spyfalcon

    Remember that?

    See if you can find those again and delete them.

    Page 2 of the old thread you had with technical_1 post number 14.
    You will have to go to the 2nd page of this forum to find it.

    Hiya mate , sorry about the wait for a reply , I tried most of lastnight to find the NSU.tmp file but was unable to locate it , also cannot start computer in safe mode.
    I ran the sfs.scannow and there were no problems. I have therefor looked out as much installation discs and drivers as I could find in preperation for Nuking the hard drive.
    I will try to save as much data as possible tonight and possibly Nuke the thing tomorrow.
    Just another question , are drivers available to download for FujiFinePix camera , Epson R200 printer and an LG cd burner from the internet as my missus in her wisdom threw the boxes for these out before checking inside so I have no means of using them unless I can download from somewhere.

    Thanks again for your help , and the other guy Scott , it was interesting looking into things that I was totally unaware of .

    Kind Regards
    chezi.
