I tried that tool earlier tonight but the file isn't there to browse to even though AVG keeps saying thats the path. So how do I send the file when its not technically there to send?
Do you have hidden files enabled:

HIDDEN FILES: To make sure you can see all hidden files, please follow the directions here

I checked that file path and there is no file there called specifically MFC71.dll
There are several similar but none of that one.
Other applications also report a similar error message for that DLL:

"This application failed to start because MFC71.DLL was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."
    • This would seem to imply that you are missing a required Windows DLL file.
    • You could try to reinstall Logitec to see if that replaces the .DLL
    • You could find the .DLL on another system, copy it and place it in that directory
    • You could run sfc /scannow (from the Run window - copy & paste that exact text) which will prompt for the Windows install CD. This should also replace the file.

Please also post a current HijackThis LOG in case anything has changed.

I had already changed that to see all hidden files so its not that its hidden. I found the file oo.exe last night a few places so I removed it manually. And now so far this morning I have done 2 scans and its still not warning me of a threat so this is good news.

When I reinstalled AVG I stopped getting that error so it looks like its a legitimate error. I can copy that MFC71.dll to the other folder and see if that works but how do I know specifically where to put it so the programs sees it? Just in the main logitech folder?

Off to get a new HiJackThis log...

I can copy that MFC71.dll to the other folder and see if that works but how do I know specifically where to put it so the programs sees it? Just in the main logitech folder?
It is generally not in a specific application FOLDER. Many DLL files are normally put in the SYSTEM32 FOLDER to be made available to numerous other applications that might depend upon it. Did you try running the SFC utility (to replace or fix, missing or corrupted system files).

SFC /SCANNOW (in the RUN box - Start>Run).

I'd love to but I don't have a windows cd. When I bought the computer the cheap jerks at compaq don't send one. They put in a partition instead and thats all I have other than the 5 recovery disks i had to burn. Would that work?

I will try adding it to the system32 folder and see if that does the trick

SFC is not viable using 'recovery disks'. The role of recovery disks is to install the same software as was on it when you bought your PC.

You currently have two (2) new and not previously seen infections plus one returning variation of one already seen [PrintDrive] - popup related. The SDBOT infection (SDfix solution, below) can be particular nasty and persistent.

I will be asking you to run three different (quick) scans - all requiring reboots. You might want to print out these instructions. Only one final HijackThis LOG will be needed but a log for each scan tool would be most helpful..

Download SDFix and save it to your Desktop.

Double click SDFix.exe and choose Install to extract it to its own folder on the Desktop. Please then reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following :
    • Restart your computer
    • After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
    • Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu with options should appear;
    • Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press "Enter".
    • Choose your usual account.
    • In Safe Mode, right click the SDFix.zip folder and choose Extract All,
    • Open the extracted folder and double click RunThis.bat to start the script.
    • Type Y to begin the script.
    • It will remove the Trojan Services then make some repairs to the registry and prompt you to press any key to Reboot.
    • Press any Key and it will restart the PC.
    • Your system will take longer that normal to restart as the fixtool will be running and removing files.
    • When the desktop loads the Fixtool will complete the removal and display Finished, then press any key to end the script and load your desktop icons.
    • Finally open the SDFix folder on your desktop and copy and paste the contents of the results file Report.txt back onto the forum with a new HijackThis log.

Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop.
    • Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
    • Click the Scan for Vundo button.
    • Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
    • You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
    • Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
    • When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
    • Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThis log.

Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove.
In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above instructions starting from "Click the Scan for Vundo button." when VundoFix appears at reboot.

Download ComboFix from Here or Here to your Desktop.
    • Double click combofix.exe and follow the prompts.
    • When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log and a HiJackthis log in your next reply

Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window while its running. That may cause it to stall
