    Unhappy Image Won't Delete!

    hi,

so my bro went on my comp and booted up limewire and started a download spree, he downloaded a few images (some of them Pr0n). Anyway, i have this image on my comp that has a pr0n-type title, but it won't let me delete it. when i right click it, i get the options preview, edit, print, open with, and send to. when i highlight the file and go file->properties it says nothing in the title, program to open it with, and it says the size is 0 bites. When i try to open it in another program besides image and fax previewer (ie: wordpad), i get this message: "Access to C:\PROGRA~1\LimeWire was denied."

can anyone help me? I'm thinking about trying to hex-edit the image to see if i can at least remove the name or change the file some way.

    please help!

    thanks,

    LiEB0

If you and your brother wish to continue to use P2P applications you may eventually end up with a seriously unresolvable situation. That is always the risk posed by P2P

See if your current situation can be resolved as follows:

If a file stubbornly refuses to be deleted by conventional means, HijackThis (version 1.98.2 onward) provides a method to have Windows delete the file as it boots up, before the file has the chance to load. To do this, follow these steps:

How to use the Delete on Reboot tool (in HijackThis)
    1. Start Hijackthis
    2. Click the ‘Open the Misc Tools section’ button
    3. Click on the button labeled ’Delete a file on reboot...’
    4. A new window will open asking you to select the file that you would like to delete on reboot. Navigate to the file and click on it once, and then click on the Open button.
    5. You will now be asked if you would like to reboot your computer to delete the file. Click on the ‘Yes’ button if you would like to reboot now, otherwise click on the ‘No’ button to reboot later.

thank you so much! i know P2P programs are stupid, and limewire sucks the most. After this, i won't ever use limewire again.

    thanks a bunch,
