I was setting up an xp based laptop last night and tried to download Ie7. right after the initial downloader file finishes, Pccillan flags it as a virus. is this a false statement or could it be so. TIA

I presume that the IE7 download source is legitimately from Microsoft. However, I suppose it is possible that your download has been redirected to a rogue site.



Additionally, you might want to try and uninstall and reinstall PCcillan in case the antivirus tool itself has been corrupted or otherwise infected.

Yes it is from microsoft's sight or at least windows update took me there, who knows. I'll try to re install pccillan and see if that resolves in. Thank you
