You have not stated or indicated your apparent issues.

I note that you have a 'proxy' server - was that a recent change and have your issues arisen around that timeframe?

Do you also have a router in place?

I am getting the error message every time i log on to the web as follows

and can not open my home page or any other web page.

Does your PC access a router? A proxy server (on port 9100 noted in your HijackThis LOG) and inproper router (complex) configuration issues can result in the situation as noted. Try accessing the net without using a router to see the difference, if applicable:

Your proxy server has been reliable until IE7, right? Try connecting without the router and see how that goes. Otherwise, IE7 may be presently incompatible with your current proxy server software.
