I have tried getting my inlaws PC back to normal by running virus scans, adware scans, spyware and all that good stuff.

It found over 200 adware, over 20 viruses, and over 20 spyware.

I deleted all the ones it found but the ie still keeps shutting down when going to sites that run Java.

Can anyone help me fix the problem....I notice there is alot of unknown items in the log but I don't know what's what on their PC.

Look in add/remove program and remove if present:

WinPage Blocker

Reboot if found and removed.

Run hijackthis and click on scan button and put a check next to this:

With nothing open but hijackthis click on fix checked.


Now reboot into safe mode by tapping your F8 key upon restart and safe mode screen appears, select safe mode and press enter.


Navigate to these files or folders using Windows Explorer (OR Start -> Search) and delete (if present):


DELETE FOLDERS

C:\Program Files\Homepage


Reboot normal mode and...

Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
