hi guys i'm back! lol. been away due to Gymnastic performances and competitions. anyways, i'm using my father's laptop and it seems that the startup time is unbelievably slow. at certain times the Explorer.exe actually refuses to move at all. i had to open up Task Manager and end it, and re-run it again to just get into desktop. no idea what's causing this.

Are you in Malaysia?

Is symantec up to date or has it expired? If so might consider uninstalling and installing a free anti-virus that is not such a resource hog like AVG or AVAST.

Let me know on that as there is an uninstaller available that is better then useing the add/remove function on your computer to uninstal symantec.

To clean your temp folder, recycle bin, etc..please download this free tool:

CCleaner

Don't install any Toolbars, or other programs, should it ask you!Just uncheck the option of installing the Yahoo toolbar.
It will put a shortcut on your Desktop.

Uncheck cookies

Before first use:
Select Options then Advanced.
UNCHECK "Only delete files in Windows Temp folder older than 48 hours"

Click on CCleaner to start it. Then click "Run Cleaner", just use the windows tab up front by default.


Then Reboot (Exit)



Please go to hijackthis.exe and right click on it and then click on rename and rename it to foolyou.exe
and post a new log from the newly renamed hijackthis.exe.

symantec sucks. that log was of my father's laptop, which has problems like i said. recently my father couldn't even send mails out using Outlook Express, and all thanks cause Symantec expired and was blocking everything that's trying to go out. even after being disabled, that continued. sheesh man.

my father just renewed it. 1 year. yeah it's up to date.
