after downloading the 3 steps in the adaware a pop-up appeared while this scan was in progress. the avast Anti-virus had appeared notifying me that a virus was found! it could not be repaired for some reason so i have kept it in the virus chest. how can i wipe it out of my computer?

also i had tryed to do windows updates and it had 3 errors that will not be updated.

Be advised that doing updates (or loading any software for that matter) can often go badly on a sick PC.

Ad-aware is only finding cookies which are really of minimal concern. Such a log is of minimal help to me.

If you still have serious issues please state the symptoms or undesirable outcomes that are occuring. A HijackThis log (see instructions in my signature) is also highly desirable to help in improving the assessment process.

If you still have trojan issues, you should try running 'AVG Anti-Spyware' tool (free scan). In general, most of the tools that you are currently running are very weak against trojans.

ic so get a hijack log from the virus scan? Im using a avast for the virus protection. so once its done scanning i hijack the log?

aslo as i scanned it several times before it has found issues but has been placed in a chest, or virus vault.

Download and install AVG Anti-Spyware 7.5 (AVG AS - formally known as Ewido anti-spyware 4.0 - uninstall any previous version first).

• Click the Download BUTTON. On the next page click the Download now BUTTON.
• Save and then install (Run) from the save location.
  
• Open/Run AVG Anti-Spyware
  
• Wait a few moments and AVG Anti-Spyware should Auto update itself (note date of last update). If it doesn't update, click the update ICON at top of screen:
